Current money and drug issues in Greece

Ladies and Gentlemen,

There are two issues that concern my people today, our economy and domestic problems. Both of these problems touch many countries now, so we need to pull together as on to try to reach a solution for them.

1) The Debt. The debt of my country has reach $400 billion dollars. This is due to our own internal economy as well as the world-wide financial problems. While it is our intentions to try to reduce our budget ourselves as much as possible, we can only do so much, for we are a small country. For example, we have proposed to raise taxes for the consumers. We expected the people to push this possible tax raise back at us, but there has been little fight back from our people. Another way we are trying to reduce our debt is to lower the pay for the government employees. At first, employees were angry at this suggestion, but after a while, a few resisted as they knew we have little to no ways of reducing our debt but doing what we have proposed. Proving that we are trying to reduce our debt has given our investors an assurance that we are trying to fix our debt problem. We ask the world community for patience as we try to minimize our debt.

2)Domestic problems. As in every country, domestic problems exist. Our main issue is drugs/narcotics. We have upgraded our police force to deal with these issues as well as training our police force on handling those arrested for selling or buying drugs. The world community needs to help out with our fight on drugs, as this is an ongoing problem in all countries. As long as drug lords exist, the world will always have a drug problem. I ask that all countries do everything they can to stop drug dealers, drug lords as this will also reduce the crime rate everywhere. We must start controlling the borders better as this will also stop drugs from being shipped from country to country. My country has agreements with the United States and other countries. It is my statement today, that all countries must help stop drugs from being shipped throughout the world.
